Dependence. Every man, woman and child in this world and of this world is struggling away from it, towards independence.
Job, education, financial security, health, accomplishments, relationships, sometimes it’s simply emotional control, but the list goes on.
So why am I sitting in front of my laptop banging out a tumblr post at four in the morning rambling about this, 5 hours before my last exam?
God’s not looking for leaders willing to be servants.
He’s looking for servants willing to be leaders.

If you are willing to die for me, why aren’t you willing to live for me?
Many would agree that to give your life for is the ultimate, most extravagant way of loving someone, and that martyrdom is the epitome of radical Christianity.
But that in itself is not what He is looking for.
If I live a selfish life and do not wage war against sin in my heart, merely dying as a martyr gains me nothing.
What He searches for is more rare, it’s humility from the smallest things.
